March 2025
Hello friends :)
March has been a really good month for me so far. A brand new piece has just been listed on my website- ‘Seafoam and Stormclouds’. The original is a water colour and sea salt creation; I even used sea water during the painting process, so it really is a piece of the coast itself. It’s now listed for sale, and will be hanging in my upcoming exhibition next month (Bottom right hand photo below). I have some beautiful A4 and A3 signed prints available here too, printed on 350gsm FSC certified paper. Lovely stuff!
March has been all about getting prepared for my first Exhibition of 2025- ‘Coast and Countryside’ at the Corinium Museum in Cirencester. I am holding a VIP opening view on Saturday 26th April 2025 between 11am and 1pm to kick the month long exhibition off- I would love to see you there. My aunt Julia Fry is also exhibiting at this event, and her work is a real treat- Think whimsical countryside scenes, moonlit paths, quirky cats resting amongst plant pots bursting with flowers, and some beautiful local scenes of Gloucestershire. Julia has been a huge supporter of my artistic journey throughout my whole life, and actually bought me my first set of oil paints many years ago. I’m really excited to see our work hanging side by side!
I was thrilled when my original oil painting of ‘Cirencester Abbey Grounds’ sold this month. It’s gone off to a home right here in Cirencester, where it will hang in a living room that has a direct view of the church itself- Perfect!
I’m always a tiny bit sad when an original sells, because they really are an extension of me, and so many hours of love, passion and attention are poured into them, but on the flip side, I feel such pride knowing that someone loves my work so much, they want the original piece itself to hang in their house.
Don’t worry though, if you had your eye on this piece yourself, I have some gorgeous giclee (superb quality, archival-grade digital fine art print) limited edition signed prints available here, and beautiful greeting cards here.

I’ve been enjoying my current watercolour pet portrait commission, a double A3 piece, of a magnificent boy from puppyhood to adulthood. These paintings are such a treat to do- I always start with the eyes and work my way out from there, slowly layering up the character. I’ll be sure to post a final photo in next months blog for you all to see!
If you’d like to commission your own portrait, more details can be found here. I also have an e-brochure which can be emailed out to you- Do get in touch.
And finally, my market dates for the upcoming month- I’ll be trading in the Cornwall in Cirencester on Saturday 19th April 2025, with my usual range of greeting cards, prints and framed prints. I’ll also have some brand new key chains of local scenes- Cirencester Abbey Grounds, Cotswold lakes and the Cotswold Lavender Farm. Exciting!
Just a happy girl and a happy dog in one of their favourite places :)- Perranporth
Have a wonderful week, and thankyou as always for joining me on this wonderful journey of mine :)
